Present schools: Columbia Prep, Hewitt, Brearley, Chapin, Calhoun, Riverdale, Browning, Collegiate.

 

Teen Effort:

    1. Needs kids from other schools to volunteer
    2. Contact Rachel from Columbia Prep
    3. Meetings on Sunday – Upper East Side
    4. Community service hours
    5. Raises money for Mt. Sinai Hospital – adolescent center
    6. May 21st – Battle of the Bands

 

Ads/Publicity for JSA:

    1. Posters posted around schools
    2. Quotes on posters, from JSA reps
    3. Advertising in school newspapers
    4. One specific JSA ad or different ads for different schools

 

Fall Party:

    1. Battle of the Bands
    2. Coffee house – possibly combine with Dalton’s

 

Service Saturday:

    1. “Fair” setup or presentations?
    2. How many do we need to accommodate?

 

DVD fundraiser for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital children’s ward:

    1. Money or gift cards to purchase DVDs
    2. Money from Battle of the Bands?

 

Holiday Event:

    1. Would have to be planned early in the year
    2. Gift-wrapping party?

 

 

Next Year:

    1. City Year?
    2. Visions/Voices

 

 

Independent Voices: 6:30 pm on Friday, April 23rd at Lincoln Center Barnes & Noble –Broadway 66th Street. JSA reps do not need to set up, but are encouraged to come listen.

 

Calhoun School Play: “Twelfth Night: Glammed” May 20th, 21st, 22nd at 7:00 pm.

 

Independent Visions: 5:00-7:00 pm on Saturday, May 22nd at Tamarind Art Gallery, 142 East 39th Street. Photos of events presented

 

Next meeting: Chapin – Joint parents/students Thursday, May 20th at 4:15pm
