The Sacred Heart Ballroom is not available in October, so the idea for a Halloween Ball is currently tabled. The May 12th community service event at Yorkville Common Pantry was a success.  Sixteen students representing 5 schools participated in bagging and distributing groceries, and restocking shelves.  This event will be incorporated into next year’s schedule on a regular basis. A kick-off-the-fall park clean-up event for the Central Park Conservancy is being planned.  The JSA community should check their e-mails over the summer for further updates and details. Efforts to find a venue for a winter charity athletic event continue.  Anyone with leads can contact Diane Discenza at discenza@nyc.rr.com.
